We're a Canadian tech review site built on one principle: test every product for 30 days before saying anything about it. No press samples. No sponsored opinions.
ElectroReviews was created because we were tired of tech reviews that read like press releases. Most review sites publish within days of receiving a press sample โ sometimes within hours. They haven't used the product. They haven't lived with it.
We do things differently. Every product we review is purchased at full price, used daily for a minimum of 30 days, and scored honestly โ including the things that didn't work well.
Our focus is Canadian consumers. Every price is in CA$. Every link goes to Amazon.ca. Every recommendation considers what's actually available and affordable in Canada.
Tech enthusiast based in Canada with over a decade of experience buying, testing, and returning gadgets. Started ElectroReviews after one too many disappointing Amazon purchases that looked great in reviews but failed in real life. The mission: honest testing, clear writing, Canadian prices.
Our review process is the same for every product, every time. No shortcuts.
We buy every product at retail price on Amazon.ca. No press samples, no brand loans, no early access deals. What you see on the shelf is what we test.
We use the product every single day for 30 days โ the way you would. Gaming, commuting, work, workouts. Long sessions. Short sessions. Edge cases.
We score 6โ8 specific categories. A bad noise score stays bad. We don't average out problems with strong points. If something is weak, we say so clearly.
Every review includes a comparison table against the 2โ3 most relevant alternatives. We answer the real question: is this the right choice, or should you spend CA$50 more (or less)?
We publish only when we have a complete opinion. Reviews are updated when prices change significantly, or when software updates materially change the product experience.
ElectroReviews is a participant in the Amazon Associates program. This is how we fund our testing โ without it, we couldn't afford to buy the products we review.
When you click a link on ElectroReviews and purchase a product on Amazon.ca, we earn a small commission (typically 4% for electronics) at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you click our link or go directly to Amazon.
This commission arrangement does not influence our scores, recommendations, or editorial content. We have declined to feature products where the commission would create a conflict of interest with an honest review. Our affiliate ID is disclosed on every article that contains affiliate links.
We also want to be clear about what we don't do: we don't accept payment to feature products, we don't accept free products in exchange for positive coverage, and we don't allow advertisers to influence our editorial positions.
Have a product you think we should review? A question about a recommendation? A correction to make? We'd genuinely like to hear from you.
